Thanks to the limited number of students on each course - among other things - a friendly atmosphere already develops during the lessons.
To consolidate this atmosphere, we organize joint activities including aesthetic, cultural and nature outings, almost on a daily basis,
where you can use your knowledge of Italian and get to know many facets of the Italian way of life.
Given its strategic and favourable location on the coast, Mola di Bari is an ideal base for cultural and gastronomic expeditions throughout
Apulia: to Emperor Frederick II's world famous Castel del Monte, to the "Trulli" (rotunda) at Alberobello (both UNESCO World Heritage sites),
to the Castellana Grotte (an impressive dripstone cave), to Matera (also a UNESCO World Heritage site and location for Mel Gibson's film,
The Passion of the Christ), to Ostuni (La Cittá bianca), to the excavations at the ancient settlement of Egnazia (open air museum), and in
the Gargano National Park. Famous cities of Apulia such as Brindisi, Lecce and Taranto are just an hour by car from Mola di Bari.
If students are interested we also organize cookery courses in local Apulian specialities, a visit to a winery, dinners together in typical
restaurants, barbecues and much more.
In summer the entire region captivates with its lively festival culture. The numerous "Sagre" (village fetes) are a regular fixture of
Apulian cultural life. These "Sagre" always offer a particular dish (squid, Focaccia or grapes, for example) as their focus, along with
much music and dancing.
